A picture is worth a thousand words and that’s certainly true for Alaska. I’m just going to let the pictures do the talking today. The first is a salmon stream, where they’ve built ladders for the spawning run. Second is just outside Ketchikan, one of my favorite ports. Juneau brought us the only rain, which considering how much rain this area gets was a real blessing. We ducked into a local coffee shop to dry off a bit. The fourth picture is Haines, where we headed off to float the Chilkat River through the Eagle Preserve.
The last two are Victoria, BC and San Francisco. Two more beautiful cities, you’d be hard-pressed to find.
By the way, I will start posting reviews of all the wonderful books I read during quiet sea days very soon.
