The book I’m working on right now is the first in what will become Mysteries of Coho Bay. It’s set in a small town on the Alaska coast, about 100 miles from Juneau. Coho Bay became a stop for cruise ships three years ago, popular for the rustic, non-commercial nature of its downtown and the excursions into the rugged back country.
This book introduces Caribou King, young entrepreneur who owns The Broken Antler fine art gallery. The hectic pace of the cruise ship season leaves Cara with little time to do more than flirt with excursion boat captain Frank Baker, but she knows there will be plenty of time once the season ends. When widow Taylor Lennon walks into the gallery almost a year to the day after her husband’s death, Cara wonders if Frank will become another one of Tay’s conquests.
Mysteries of Coho Bay draws from my own experiences cruising the coast of Alaska. I fell in love with the rugged coastline and the deceptively tranquil waters of the Inside Passage and after I released the fourth Jake and Emma Mystery, I decided to see if I could bring all the wonders of Alaska to my readers in a new series.
Don’t worry, Jake and Emma will be back for another adventure soon!
